PUBLISHING / BROADCASTING OUR IMAGES

Investiture Stills for Publication (click here for rates)

investiture still photography for publication

After every Investiture, stills of recipents are made available to Local/National Newspapers and Magazines worldwide, showing everyone from film stars to school teachers meeting The Queen or The Prince of Wales.

Should you wish to enquire as to whether you may publish a still image, please contact us and we will be happy to obtain clarification / approval from the Royal Household / Press Office.
Approval would usually be granted so long as the recipient of the award has given permission and also the picture/article is used in the correct context to which the honour was obtained. Typical examples for use are in-house newsletters etc which are not used in anyway for marketing / advertising etc.

If you are a recipient and DO NOT want your images made available to the media, please ensure that you inform the Press Office at Buckingham Palace or contact us at BCA, prior to your attending the Investiture. This will ensure that your wishes are fulfilled.

During the Spring and Autumn, Investitures are seen by millions of television viewers worldwide as celebrities receive their awards from The Queen or The Prince of Wales. Recent recipients include Sir Tom Jones, Sir David Jason, Dame Ellen MacArthur and Private Johnson Beharry who received the Victoria Cross.

Footage from the BCA Film library is also available for certain television broadcasts and can often be the crowning moment of a documentary. This is subject to prior approval from the Press Office and obviously the Recipient.
We have broadcast quality video of every recipient invested since February 1991 in Buckingham Palace, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and Cardiff Castle.
